This page describes my international, national, and local service in the USA only.

Memberships in International Program Committees

I served as a member of International Program Committees for several international conferences. My responsibilities as a member of such international committees usually were to help organize the conference program and to peer review the incoming papers. I have been asked to be a peer reviewer for papers that were sent to a number of conferences. Among conferences where I was (for one still be a member for this time) are:

bullet The 20th International Conference on Modeling and Simulation (MS 2009), session "Applications of Modeling and Simulation". Banff,  Canada. July 6 – 8, 2009.
bulletThe International Conference on Modeling and Simulation, (Asia MS 2007), Beijing, China, October 8-10, 2007.
bulletThe International Conference on Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS’06) St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, USA. November 29–December 1, 2006.
bulletThe Climate Change Technology Conference: Engineering Challenges and Solutions in the 21st Century (CCC’06), Ottawa, Canada. May 9-12, 2006.
bulletThe International Conference on Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS’04), St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, USA. November 22-24, 2004.

Chairing of sessions at international conferences

I served as a session chair for several international conferences. Among them:

bulletThe 20th International Conference on Modeling and Simulation (MS 2009), session "Applications of Modeling and Simulation". Banff,  Canada. July 6 – 8, 2009.
bulletThe International Conference on Modeling and Simulation, (Asia MS 2007).  I served  as a chairman of the conference session "Data Mining and Databases"., Beijing, China, October 8-10, 2007.
bulletThe International Conference on Applied Simulation and Modeling (ASM’05). I served as a chairman of the conference session “Environmental Modeling and Simulation”. Benalmadena, Spain. June 15-17, 2005.
bulletThe International Conference on Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS‘04). I served as a chairman of the conference session “Natural Resource Management”. St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, USA. November 22-24, 2004.
bulletThe 4th International Conference on Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization (MSO’04), I served as a chairman of the conference session “Model Development”. Kauai, Hawaii, USA, August 17-19, 2004.
bulletThe International Conference on Algorithmic, Mathematics & Computer Science (AMSC’04), I served as chairman for two sessions of the conference: “Applications of Mathematical Computations” and “Symbolic Computation Systems & Automated Solvers”. Las Vegas, Nevada, June 21-24, 2004.
